Communication skills
undefinedOver the past 5 or so years I have been on a journey of becoming a musician. I have attended a class or two of music technology at Riverside City College where I inspire to get my certificate. Currently I am in the process of learning how to compose, produce, and read sheet music, in hopes to pick up a guitar with callused hands or have gentle fingers tapping the piano keys. I have had a life long obsession with music as so many others do, the way it makes you feel emotions you've never felt before, or in my case, able to express your emotions in a way you never have before. The nostalgia of my dad driving me around in his sanded down Chevy pickup blasting hip-hop, rock, and other genres that'll shock your system. My mom throwing her house parties with pop, dance, and R&B to get you grooving. Grandparents playing country settle down and enjoy what we have going for us. Friends along the way introducing me to new ventures of sound which in part all culminates into my passion for this hobby. Along with the romanticization of being a rockstar, of course, I truly do love music. Whenever I have the time or am feeling a certain emotion, I often write down notes or even in that moment decide to write lyrics to a song. Maybe that way I can convey what's eating me inside. It's a way to reinstate to myself or evens others that hear it that others go through life along side you. In the course of making music I've met friends and had experiences i wouldn't of had otherwise. I've met my best friend through music and I can really attribute his involvement in my life in pushing me forward in having a career. I hope to continue to improve, meet new people, experience the unfathomable, and hope to give back to music as it has given to me.
