• Monitor patrons on the beach with attention to aquatic users; act immediately and appropriately to secure the safety of patrons in the event of an emergency; carry out the rescue of any person(s) in difficulty or distress and inform command staff if back up is required.

• Provide emergency care and first aid treatment until the arrival of emergency medical services, carry out dry-land and in-water missing person searches and other safety interventions and preventative actions as required to prevent/treat death or injury, minimize risk and maintain public safety.

• Efficiently complete clerical work such as Q15 documents on each patient under care, incident reports, disciplinary notes, charting inventory, vital signs, and other various healthcare documents
• Maintain patient observation and set boundaries for inappropriate behavior, de-escalate interactions when needed, utilize proper verbal and non-threatening techniques, and aid or restrain patients to prevent injury to themselves or others (CPI).

• Counsel and monitor incarcerated juvenile females (age 12-17) in a locked transitional home setting, ensuring residents’ safety and compliance with facility policies
• Ensure residents follow the daily structure of the shift, including school, therapy groups, activities, chores, hygiene, homework, and other activities
• Direct support advocate for two residents working with their social worker, school, parole/probation officer, and client’s families to complete the resident’s treatment plan
• Facilitate group therapy and monitor discussions with their peers
• Log and record radio check-ins throughout the facility in the lead book every 15 minutes
• DCF certified to administer medication to residents
• Transport residents to and from appointments or activities.
