Scheduled appointments for patients according to their needs and preferences. Performed preliminary eye exams, including visual acuity tests and color vision tests. Conducted vision screenings using automated refraction technology, lensometer, and tonometer to measure intraocular pressure. Provided guidance to patients regarding the selection of frames, lenses, and other eyewear accessories based on their individual requirements.

Volunteered to work closely with Afghan refugees by connecting them to resources such as housing, food assistance, and applying to jobs. Helped translate and interpret for those who had trouble reading and writing in English. Additionally, I created informational presentations on important topics regarding health and exercise to help spread awareness.

I had the opportunity to guide and mentor the youth that contributed to their personal development by engaging with children in arts and crafts, sports activities, and games while maintaining a safe environment. I coordinated and led group activities for the students to help individuals strengthen their communication skills and build teamwork. Along with that, I attended in weekly staff meetings to plan and organize events and activities for the week.

Worked on a research project for one semester about the association of limited sleep and productivity. Recruited participants for our study and and ran experiments on subjects for seven days. Collected data, drew conclusions on our findings, and wrote a final research paper. Created a presentation board on our findings and presented it at a research symposium.

I'm tasked to dispatch daily carrier loads for drivers to haul by settling contract agreements with various brokers. Along with that, I set schedules for drivers and provide them with roadside assistance when needed. Checking emails and logging in data in a software.

I attended this academy one Saturday a month with my team. Through this academy, I gained more insight on the curriculum medical students learn, how to strengthen leadership skills, worked on a variety of small projects to improve teamwork, and participated in hand-on learning activities.
