Miles Minwegen

I am a highly motivated problem-solver with a background in retail sales, customer service, product knowledge, dishwashing, food handling, and lifting heavy objects. I have gaps in my resume due to schooling; though more recently, I had been a 'caregiver' to my uncle who had a major surgery. I am currently taking a gap from college and looking for full time work.

The Kairos retreat is a one time, four day, retreat. In order to become a leader you must be chosen by staff after attending the retreat. Leading came with the responsibility of setting up a healthy and open environment where people can feel comfortable. It took a month to set up, prepare, and write a speech that I gave to the people going on the retreat. This helped me become more friendly and loving person who can get along with many others.

• I volunteered as a mentor for kids at an after school program in Waukegan Illinois (Beacon Place). I was tasked with overseeing the children and creating an atmosphere where they could learn and grow.
• Spent my sophomore to junior year summer (High School) summer in Las Vegas helping my aunt
  with her physical therapy and assisted her needs.
• Intermittedly traveled to Chicago in the past year to assist my uncle recovering from spinal surgery.
• Grew up with a father who had ALS, I would assist him as much as possible. He taught me to treat everyone the same.
