Zehan Pan developed interest in violin at the age of seven in China and continued music studies when moved to the U.S as an international student studying in Stony Brook, New York. In 2019, Pan was chosen as an honored student representative by the Great Neck Music Conservatory to perform a concerto at Carnegie Hall in New York. In 2020, Pan was admitted to the Manhattan School of Music Pre-College and began studying under Ms. Julie Becker. In 2021, Pan served as the concertmaster of the Manhattan School of Music Pre-College Repertory Orchestra. Pan was the winner of the Concerto Competition at Manhattan School of Music Pre-college and the third place winner in the 7th Camerata Artists International Competition. In 2022, Pan attended the Meadowmount School of Music, studying violin with Ann Setzer and chamber music with Steven Rochen, Julia Lichten, and Molly Carr. In 2023, Pan attended the Vivace Music Festival and studied with Dmitri Berlinsky, Moni Simeonov, Tai Murray and Solomiya Ivakhiv. In 2024, Pan had been selected to perform the honors recital at the Manhattan School of Music Pre-College for four consecutive years. Pan had also been participating the chamber festival at the Manhattan School of Music Pre-College. As an active and engaged learner, Pan had masterclasses with Ani Kavafian, Erin Keefe, Ronald Copes, Mihaela Martin, and others. Pan now serves as the assistant concertmaster of the Philharmonic Orchestra at the Manhattan School of Music Pre-College.
