  • EVENTS & RECREATION MANAGER 2023-Current Responsible for the planning, development, and implementation of family friendly events, as well as comprehensive fitness, recreation, and wellness programs to promote healthy lifestyles. Responsible for supervising, scheduling, and developing staff in Recreation, Aquatic Fitness, Fitness, and Event Departments. Supervise and mentor the Aquatic Supervisor. Maintain current training programs and certifications for recreation and fitness staff, resulting in improved employee performance and patron experience. Implement effective budget management strategies to reduce operational costs and bring in new revenue through sponsorship sales for programs and events. Collaborate with local organizations to promote community engagement and participation in recreational activities and events. Develop and maintain positive relationships with community members, businesses and vendors to build trust and rapport. Foster a positive work environment through effective communication and team building initiatives among staff members. Monitor and evaluate program performance to determine value and quality. Collaborate with outside health and wellness agencies to create and execute events, programs, and workshops on various topics.   • RECREATION YOUTH LEADER 2016-2023 Ongoing development of positive and productive relationships with kids, parents and staff. Plan and lead engaging enrichment activities for K - 5th grade Afterschool program. Provide behavior support for preschool, childcare, and afterschool programs when needed. Model positive behavior and problem solving skills to co workers. Substitute teach preschool when needed. When program was offered, led enrichment activities for grant funded free middle school aged afterschool program. Also under a grant funded position, scheduled, ordered and made healthy snacks for preschool and afterschool programs.
  • PATRON RELATIONS SPECIALIST 2015-2023 Operate front desk and provide quality customer service when needed at Sunset Pool, Bob Chisholm Community Center, and SRC.   • RECREATION MANAGER 2000-2006 Managed and developed recreation programs, staff and operations for Seaside Youth Center, Bob Chisholm Community Center and Sunset Pool Gym. Built and maintained annual budgets for youth, adult and senior programs including; preschool, afterschool, summer camps, community classes, outdoor recreation, special events, sports, leagues, and fitness. Facilitated monthly trainings to develop staff to their full potential. Scheduled and approved time sheets. Prepared and managed all recreation contracts of instructors, community childcare, recreation services, umpires, referees, facilities and field use.
