• 09/01/2023, Current, NYU Dental Brigade, New York, New York, Participated in fundraising efforts to Chimaltenango, Guatemala by working with local restaurants in NYC., Assisted local dentists in Chimaltenango where many communities cannot afford/ get access to dental care., Screened patients alongside dentists, expanding my knowledge on teeth anatomy and spotting various concerns., Engaged with young children through an activity called "Charla" in which we found interactive ways to educate them about dental hygiene. Created posters for them and came up with games to play., Shadowed dentists performing extractions, while assisting them by prepping their materials and familiarizing myself with the tools., Learned about Guatemalan culture through interactions with the communities, patients, young children, and visiting local businesses., Dedicated around 5 hours a day for 7 days for clinical work/ volunteering.
