Contribute to the development, implementation, interpretation and administration of employee relations policies and procedures to support compliance with employment law.
Craft strategies for resolving employee issues and minimizing the adverse impact of proposed business realignments.
Ensure that all employee matters are handled with a consistent and focused approach that is aligned with Employee Relations vision and values.
Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity to all issues.
Advise, coach and influence all levels of management, including executive management, regarding critical and complex employee relations decisions e.g., performance management harassment, business conduct, job eliminations, restructuring and HR policies, practices and procedures.
Collaborate with respective HR Business Partners and managers in supporting the process and administration of organizational changes.
Conduct timely, objective and thorough internal investigations involving coordination and collaboration with other internal partners and prepare all required documentation.
Record and track ER data in the case management system in a thorough and timely manner.
Ensure Hotel's compliance with all Federal, New York State and New York City employment laws including anti-harassment, ADA, and equal opportunity. Ensure accurate maintenance of all personnel files and records in compliance with all applicable laws.
• Monitor Team member development and training programs with GM and Department Heads.
• Help promote a union-free, positive and comfortable work environment.
• Cultivate Team Member relations and feedback process.
• Help coordinate internal initiatives and activities such as Wellness Program, Talent Show, Parties & Mixers, Movie Night, etc.
• Promotes and helps manage team member recognition programs like the Bravo Program and Team Member of the Month/Quarter.
• Work with Human Resources Director on any personnel-related issues, policy and procedure questions, disciplinary process, etc.
• Help oversee benefit administration including liaison between Hartz Corporate Human Resources and hotel personnel in regard to the following programs, Aetna Health and Dental Insurance, 401K, Life Insurance, Short Term Disability, etc.
• Help collect, organize, edit and keep updated all Job Descriptions and Standard Operating Guidelines.
Design and implement the overall recruiting strategy for internal positions and freelancers with the Director of Human Resources.
• Manage the full administration process with freelancers.
• Create and manage a fully loaded pipeline for all key positions in the company.
• Assist the Director of Human Resources with the full recruitment process for internal positions.
