- Overhauled ineffective instructional and assessment processes by designing and implementing curriculum and assessment protocols, which led to students showing growth in reading and writing skills among all three grade levels. Growth as measured by Writescore and STAR reading data show: 6th grade grew by 21%, 7th grade by 7%, 8th grade by 27%, as well as a significant increase in 8th grade students performing above average on writing; Improvement in students' Lexile scores from previous year among 6 through 8 grade students - 23.1%, 17.9%, and 14.5% respectively.
