Leadership: Through my roles in my Titans for Change club and as the founder of the Caribbean American club, I’ve learned how to lead teams, delegate tasks, and guide projects to successful completion while ensuring that everyone remains motivated and aligned with our goals

Communication: My communication skills have been heavily sharpened through multiple roles, such as being a writing tutor and an administrative assistant in the family business I have learned to effectively convey ideas, whether explaining complex concepts to peers, addressing client needs, or working in a team

Research & Analytical Thinking: My research skills have been enhanced through my bio-conservation studies in Costa Rica and my medical internship I’ve learned how to gather and analyze data, interpret findings, and apply critical thinking to support various types of research and decision-making processes

Cultural Awareness & Sensitivity: My involvement with the Caribbean American club and volunteering at Fulfill NJ has heavily expanded my cultural awareness I’ve learned to engage with people from diverse backgrounds and show empathy in both personal and professional settings

Cross-Cultural Communication: As a B1-level Spanish speaker, I’ve gained the ability to communicate effectively in both professional and personal contexts This especially comes in handy because I am a boarding student at an International high school My proficiency allows me to work with Spanish-speaking communities and translate when necessary

Empathy: Volunteering at Fulfill NJ and as a medical observer intern, I developed strong empathy by engaging with individuals facing difficult circumstances At Fulfill NJ, I connected with people experiencing food insecurity, and in my medical internship, I observed patient care, learning to understand their concerns and provide compassionate support
