Clinical Rotation Experience

My first clinical rotation was completed at Concentra Physical Therapy, a workers' compensation clincic, in Sacramento, California. This rotation was a seven week rotation where I treated patients with acute or chronic injuries of the hand, finger, shoulder, neck, back, hip, knee, ankle, and foot. Some common injuries included muscle strains, osteoarthritis, and ankle sprains; while uncommon more advanced injuries seen included total and reverse total shoulder repairs and total knee arthroplasty.

Accomplishments

  • Graduated Summa Cum Laude with a dual degree in Health Sciences and Public Health.
  • Inducted into Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society in May 2021.
  • Inducted into Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society in October 2018.

Volunteer Work/Organizations

Conversation Partner Program: August 2019 - Present

  • Paired with a student studying abroad at Nazareth College
  • Teaches and helps partner practice and learn the English language while also exposing the partner to American culture
  • Currently paired with a student who is from China studying to be an English teacher
