I manage programs that provide a variety of energy efficiency efforts and deliverables within the state. Some of these deliverables are affordable continuing education opportunities about building and energy code for contractors, and architects, no-cost energy assessments to industrial entities that provide real-world experience for university students, a Dark Skies Initiative, and so on.
In addition to the programs I help manage, I liaison with a number of partners and stakeholders on behave of OED. I also support the visualization of data to communicate information through the application of Geographic Science tools and analysis for the office.
The topic of this research was to investigate the arrival of a far-flung population of Colorado pinyon pine (Pinus edulis) in the Crawford Mountains located in Northeastern Utah. Using a reconstructive environmental proxy, Packrat (Neotoma) midden samples, we were able to identify macrofossils from past environments to radiocarbon date to get accurate emergence dates of this new species to the area
Over the years working for my parents' business, I was able to learn and hold a variety of positions in the front and back of house. The value of integrity, hard work, and consideration of ownership and management were some of the main takeaways themes. With thousands of cold approaches to tables, and interactions with staff conversing naturally with people now comes naturally.
