In 1999 I became self employed as a logger contracting through local sawmills. May 2001 I decided to join the U.S. Army as a Paratrooper. March 2003 through April 2004 was my first combat tour in Iraq, earning a Combat Infantryman Badge. I left active duty in early 2004 and re-enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves where I transitioned into Military Intelligence and became an Interrogator which lead to my second combat tour from October 2005 to October 2006. After returning to Wisconsin I resumed my logging career. While continuing logging and being in the reserves, I switched my military occupation from Interrogator to Combat Engineer. In 2016 I sustained an injury while logging and decided to get back into construction full time joining Metco where I became certified in WI and IA AST, UST, and Tank cleaner/remover.
