  • Supervise movement, and transportation of equipment and personnel through T3, valued at 6.4 million dollars.

  • Served as Platoon Commander and Motor Transport (MT) Officer and managed all MT logistical and Maintenance commitments while ensuring health and welfare of a fluctuating 75 Marine Platoon.

Logistics Officer/Platoon Commander

Served as 2d Maintenance Battalion's Logistics Officer, Environmental Compliance Officer, Container Management, Organic Platoon Commander, and Intermediate Maintenance Platoon Commander wherein often times managed several platoons of Marines with various mission sets at the premium level of operability.

  • As Battalion Logistics Officer, he planned, coordinated and executed embarkation and movement of 2d Maintenance Battalion detachment's deployment to Fort Stewart, Georgia from Camp Lejeune, North Carolina in support of 2d Tank Battalion deployed for training from 5 to 27 February 2018.
  • Created and established standard operating procedure and embarkation representatives in each company to facilitate planning and preparation.
  • Utilizing Marine Air Ground Task Force Deployment Support System II and Sea Service Deployment Module, and transferred sum 9,000 records between battalions, companies, and adjacent commands.
  • As a result, and due to his oversite, his logistics team successfully handled the embarkation of over 55,000 pounds and 100,000 dollars' worth of equipment and supply in support of this training exercise.
  • Additionally, he coordinated and planned support for 2d Maintenance Battalion's Trident Juncture efforts in Norway wherein he worked closely with multiple companies and commodity sections to ensure site support had the right equipment to house 150 Marines.
  • Furthermore ensuring that the power plan provided sufficient and redundant power to facilitate all maintenance commodities throughout the duration of the exercise.
  • In addition to supporting major battalion movements, he effectively managed various areas of logistical responsibilities. He successfully planned and supported four company level field exercises, one strategic mobility exercise, one Battalion Open House; in total he supported logistics of over 100,000 pounds of cargo and his team managed it without a single mishap.
  • Furthermore, in order to facilitate smooth execution of these events, he learned and implemented streamlined request processes for the companies to utilize. With over 200 requests in Transportation Capacity Planning Tool, Common Logistics Command and Control System and email, he ensured all logistics requests from the supported companies were fulfilled in a timely manner through his Unit Movement Control Center and in close coordination with Organics Platoon and higher headquarters.
  • As the Battalion Logistics Officer, he had collateral duties that covered other areas of logistics such as Battalion Environmental Compliance, Safety, and Container Management Programs. He educated himself and reached out to the subject matter experts to conduct five Environmental Compliance walk-throughs and two quarterly safety inspections in order to strictly adhere to the established orders and directives related to programs.
  • Directly responsible, 2d Maintenance Battalion passed the Marine Corps Installations-East Safety Inspections, 2d MLG Environmental Inspection, and Marine Corps Base Lejeune Fire Inspections with zero findings. These superior results contributed to 2d Maintenance Battalion winning both the 2017 Marine Corps Achievement in Safety Award and the 2017 Secretary of Defense Maintenance Excellence Award.
  • Concurrently, he was assigned as the Organics Platoon Commander where he led and developed 66 Marines across various different skill sets.
  • Directly responsible with the accountability of 344 Principle End Items valued at 18,372,705 dollars. He employed these assets and overseen the conduct of 1,380 accident free missions, traversing 320,000 miles, transporting 8,960 passengers and 8,850,000 pounds of cargo.
  • Under his leadership, the platoon conducted over 40 vehicle recovery missions, recovering 61 vehicles covering close to 1,000 miles. Additionally, CWO2 Baisden directed and supervised the execution of 63 heavy equipment run requests, consisting of 500 operational hours, and moving 150,000 pounds of cargo.

Company Gunnery Sergeant/Logistics Manager

  • Performed in-depth internal inspections while providing prudent guidance to key billet holders within the MTM section in preparation for the 2015 3D Marine Division Logistics Readiness Inspection. As a result, Motor Transport Platoon received a 96% overall compliance score while earning a 100% in 6 of 10 functional areas.
  • Instrumental in the preparation and execution of Motor Transport FEX 15-3 in which a robust tactical vehicle asset was established and operated from, for a period of four days.
