The Cloud Token Framework (CTF) is a sophisticated integration project between financial institution and its client banks, designed to enhance the security of payment transactions. The framework replaces sensitive card information with a unique identifier, known as a token, ensuring that payments between consumers and merchants are conducted securely. This integration protects sensitive data from being stored or transmitted across networks, while seamlessly working with existing payment systems across various devices and platforms.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Led the development team end to end, overseeing the project from execution to implementation, ensuring the successful delivery of the CTF integration.
  • Developed multiple REST endpoints for the Cloud Token Framework using Spring Boot, Java, Kafka, and Lombok, facilitating secure and efficient communication between systems.
  • Implemented a Kafka producer application to generate messages from the CTF application to a centralized application, supporting comprehensive reporting and tracking functions.
  • Integrated legacy SOAP-based web services with the CTF application to consume essential business data for further processing, ensuring smooth interoperability with existing systems.
  • Applied various microservice design patterns, including the Circuit Breaker pattern, to enhance the resilience and reliability of the application.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Wrote extensive unit test cases using Spring MVC, Mock Web Server, and Mockito to ensure the robustness and accuracy of the application.
