Abel Zepeda Madero

I was called to serve in the Agape Multicultural Church District and currently serve part-time as the official pastor in charge of two churches: Agape Multicultural Church and Wichita North, which are three hours apart.

During the first year, I focused on the administrative area, working diligently in organization, leader training, and strengthening the churches. As a result of these efforts, we achieved:

• 8 baptisms and around 10 professions of faith
• More than 9 member transfers to our churches
• Retention and active involvement of families
• Strengthening of discipleship and mission programs
• Remodeling and improvement of vulnerable areas of the churches

Having consolidated the administrative area, this new year our focus will be evangelism, trusting that God will continue to guide and bless our ministry.

Train disciples firmly rooted in Christ, who live and share the gospel. Part-time: Bible studies and support for the spiritual growth of the Montana District.

I served as a missionary pastor at Maricopa Spanish Church and Apache Junction Hispanic Church, focusing on their spiritual, organizational, and mission development. By God’s grace, we were able to revitalize the congregations after the challenges of the pandemic, increasing membership, activating ministries, and strengthening leadership. Fixed work plans and strategic projects were implemented, with visible results in growth, retention, and organization.

In the Sierra Tarahumara, my main role was to disciple and train believers, strengthen the local church, and expand the gospel in an area where over 97% of the population was non-Adventist. Key roles and achievements include:

• Developed evangelistic activities for children and youth, including Vacation Bible School and small children’s groups, with over 95 children certified.
• Planned traditional and contemporary worship services to serve diverse communities.
• Trained and mentored church members to identify and develop future leaders.
• Collaborated with local institutions (mining companies, municipal offices, and schools) to implement community and evangelistic programs, such as anti-drug horseback events and educational programs attended by 350 children.
• Managed donations and resources for educational and religious activities, including medical brigades and community outreach events.
• Conducted direct Bible teaching, delivering over 60 Bible studies and leading 18 people to Christ.
• Provided ongoing spiritual guidance and support to the congregation.

Impact: Revitalized the local church, increased engagement of children and youth, developed leaders, and strengthened community and evangelistic outreach.

• I supported the 8 churches in the district in organization and coordination during the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring that evangelism continued and achieving 94% of the proposed goals in outreach and financial stewardship. I provided pastoral care through visitations, support during funerals, conflict resolution, and decision-making. Additionally, I developed innovative campaigns and resources (videos, podcasts, virtual groups) to keep the congregation’s spiritual life active.

• I provided spiritual counseling and support to clients, employees, and volunteers, personally teaching the Bible (+100 Bible studies conducted).
• I developed community relationships through weekly study groups and strategies to foster the clinic’s spiritual growth.
  I assisted in planning and creating spiritual training programs and materials for staff and volunteers.
• I coordinated the inauguration of the mental health department, addressing personal needs with the goal of presenting Christ as the solution.
• I prepared and presented monthly and annual reports on the activities and achievements of the spiritual department.
