I am currently a student in the Dental Assisting Program at Pima Community College, where I am building my experience in dental care. During high school, I completed two years of early childhood education and served as a peer mentor for special needs students. This experience ignited my passion for working with children. For the past 2.5 years, I have furthered this passion by working in a preschool as a lead teacher, and I have developed skills in communication, patience, and care. I am eager to bring my experience in childcare and dental assisting to a pediatric dental team.
I provide daily care and supervision for toddlers, including diaper changes, feeding, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment. I create lesson plans and activities that promote cognitive, emotional, and physical development. I have learned to communicate effectively with parents to provide updates on their child, address any concerns, and maintain a positive relationship. I often use conflict resolution skills to manage any tantrums and very challenging behaviors for emotional regulation and to teach positive behaviors. For health and safety regulations, I also maintain a very clean and organized environment. It is very important that I work closely with the other staff to maintain clear communication and important information about the day is passed down.

As a part time level 4 associate, you were given many responsibilities. This included taking orders at the counter/cash handling, food prep, taking orders outside, hosting in the dining room, working pay window, and assembling/bagging the burgers on board. A big part of this job is being the "quarterback" of the stand. This person helps organize the table that keeps everything flowing nicely and quickly.
