Summary

Hello, My Name is Abigail Long I am a sophomore at Calhoun Community College, I am Currently in the surgical Technology Program at Calhoun Community College, I will graduate in July with a Associates In Applied Science degree and a certificate in Surgical Technology. I plan on going to nursing school after this program and becoming a registered Nurse First Assistant who plays a big role in the operating room in helping surgeons with quality patient care. I love working in healthcare and helping people in need and have a voice for people and do the right thing for the patient and there health. Being in healthcare and working with other individuals with different personalities we need to work together for the goal of the patient. Being kind to others and treating the patient how you would want someone to treat your family member if they were in need of care is really important, also having compassion for others you never know what a person is going through behind closed doors. I hope to continue my education and working hard every single day and being a good person.

Softball

I have played softball majority of my life I started when I was five years old and played all the way up to graduating in high school, I was on varsity in the 7th grade. My positions I played were pitcher and third, also shortstop. I loved playing sports because it taught me how to work with my teammates and failure and how to get back up when your dealing with adversity. I built great relationships with my coaches and my teammates. I wanted to play in college and continue my journey in the healthcare field on top of working and I decided just to focus on my academics. I miss playing softball everyday but its okay because I get to watch my siblings play.
