  • As a fifth year Behavior Specialist in Northwest ISD, I conduct the following activities and filled the following roles at 5 elementary campuses :
  • Implement and guide the process of Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports in Public Schools assigned to me that include coaching the schools in creating expectations, school wide reinforcement systems, and rolling out the plans to increase wanted behavior on campus
  • Implement and guide the process of Behavior Response to Intervention
  • Coach Special Education Teachers in behavior strategies to help decrease targeted behaviors in the classroom and to guide them in the implementation of Behavior Intervention Plans
  • Ensure behavior accommodations in class are being implemented with fidelity
  • Coach General Education Teachers in tier 1, tier 2, and tier 3 behavior strategies to help decrease targeted behaviors in the classroom
  • PBIS coach at 5 campuses
  • Intervene with mild to severe behavior in the classroom
  • Coach teachers on taking data in the classroom to make informed decisions about the possible function of behavior and evidence based interventions for our students based on data
  • Take data to make informed decisions on next steps that are evidence based for our students

  • Communicate and coaching teachers, parents, and students with behavior concerns and brainstorming on what might best be most beneficial to increase wanted behavior in the specific situation we are in
