In May of 2019 i received my dipolma from Northeast State Community college for Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) Degree. I I have been at Eastman for almost 9 years and 1st Operator for 6 years. My job duties is to monitor and troubleshoot in the field to make sure our equipment stay running properly. If something messes up i troubleshoot and try to correct what i can in the field to keep process going. I am fluent in LOTO and reading & keeping up procedures. I work in a control as well where i monitor up to 20 monitors with our process running and have to troubleshoot in there as well when things start messing up. I know how to read trends and monitor those to insure process runs smoothly. I have the ability to start up and shutdown processes safely from the control room when equipment needs to be LOTO'd and have maintenance and E&I work on our equipment. We have 5 different plant buildings that we keep up with and monitor. I do some lifting but mainly my physical work is climbing stairs, ladders and turning valves, which that is my most physical work. I am very safety conscious and very aware of how important PPE is. I use Papar and Respirators at times when its needed.
At Mahonies i did assisted in various tasks of everything. My main job was to receive products at their store and warehouse. I kept up with invoices and inventory, would bring stock from warehouse to store when necessary and vice versa. I would work with the buyers and get their products to them and stage it for them. My in store work, i did general work, changed light bulbs, kept up with and changed all filters in the store, cleaned, painted, fixed railings and walkways as needed to keep entrances/exits safe for customers. I assisted customers when i wasn't busy and sometimes filled in for workers in their areas to assist them when they were busy or out to lunch. Also drove forklifts at the warehouse and used pallet jacks to move product around.
I drove for FedEx ground for 12 years. I delivered packages in the gray and Johnson City area. Lifted a lot of heavy packages, used a dolly to help me deliver packages. I was the 2nd biggest route my contractor owned. I assisted other drivers after completing my route. I made timed pick ups, to ensure customers got their packages out on time and routinely would wait around if the didn't have everything done so they could get their products out. As far as deliveries go, i wasn't on a scheduler per se but i did have to get everything off before businesses closed. In my 12 years at FedEx i never got 1 complaint, something i was very proud of.
