I am hardworking, and friendly, with a great work ethic. I always keep busy, and I work well with others and alone. In addition to my years of customer service, I try to make every day enjoyable for my fellow co-workers, as well as provide a positive experience for everyone I meet.
As a Park Specialist with the City of Eugene, I am tasked with overseeing, maintaining, and cleaning all public parks in the SW region on Eugene. This includes, but is not limited to servicing public restrooms, removing trash / litter picking, properly disposing of bio-hazards such as animal, or human waste / hypodermic needles, mowing grass, irrigation, landscaping, and engaging with the public in a respectful and professional manner. Our goal is to create a safe and calm environment for the public to enjoy, as well as keeping Eugene safe, clean, and green.
As a custodian for the City of Eugene, I was responsible for the health and cleanliness of government facilities, and secure locations such as Public Works, fire departments, 911 dispatch center, and police stations. I was required to service restrooms, empty trash, vacuum, and sanitize all hard surfaces and touch points during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition to cleaning and maintaining government facilities, I was required to pass and maintain federal CJIS clearance in order to enter high-security areas. During the pandemic, I worked as the daytime custodian for Public Works and was tasked with providing additional service and creating a cleaning routine for 21 buildings that met strict CDC regulations. I worked entirely by myself during this time and was tasked with ensuring that over 300 government employees were in a safe, clean, and healthy environment so they could go out and maintain the City of Eugene. As well as cleaning the active COVID-19 exposure site, as well as keeping a professional demeanor.
