  • Wrote successful grant proposals funded by the National Institutes of Health - including Principal Investigator on a K01 ($611,821 direct funding) and R01 ($3+ million direct funding).
  • Led all aspects of K01 and R01 research projects - from study design, budgeting, hiring and management of students and clinic staff, data analysis, presentations, and publications.
  • Mentored numerous students on NIH-funded training grant - including as primary advisor to several students.
  • Established collaborative, cross-disciplinary research agenda in Molecular Epidemiology of Aging muscle, developing new ideas based on preliminary data and latest literature.
  • Collaborated with numerous colleagues across various disciplines to publish 42 peer-reviewed manuscripts - including 14 as lead author.
  • Presented over 17 times at high-profile national meetings, along with numerous local meetings and invited lectureships.

  • Managed day-to-day operations of the research study and conducted all clinic visits - including training participants on the protocol.
  • Conducted biostatistical data analyses for various research projects in collaboration with numerous faculty.
  • Collaborated with many faculty from multiple disciplines on producing research products including manuscripts.
  • Co-developed a novel fatigability questionnaire that has become the international gold standard in the field.
