Oversees technical programs (Instruments & Respiratory). Works independently and reports to the Radiation Protection Programs Manager, but also works within a team environment to provide materials and instruction to other employees. Manages the Radiation Protection instrument training program which includes calibration, storage, and source check processes for all instrumentation. Streamlines inventory processes to maintain control of all instruments. - Chemistry & RP Department training Coordinator. Responsible for the overall coordination of the line management organization and the training team. Duties include working with first-line supervision to schedule training, planning, and participation in Training Review Committee (TRC) meetings, tracking qualification status for all department personnel in the training program, and monitoring department training metrics. Additional duties Include proctoring, being an LMS Administrator, EPRI Superuser, and a Nantel Student Administrator. Active participant in helping to craft the ASER to maintain accreditation for the Maintenance and Technical training program. Participant in several training assessments. Supports in-processing of Supplemental Radiation Protection Technicians and Deconners for the outage. OJT/TPE qualified
- Site Safety Director Back up. Accountable for all duties of the site safety director in his absence. Including, but limited to work order reviews, interacting with senior management regarding safety concerns/incidents, promoting a safety-conscious work environment through safety communications and day-to-day interactions, and assisting with Human Performance Review Boards and safety observations.
- Temporary Supervisor of Radwaste operations during outages. Accountable for coordination of work between Radiation Protection, Security, and MIMO, observations of employees to ensure they are meeting all safety expectations and RP fundamentals, and review of documentation. Including completing Future Leaders training.
- Participates in the RP department's PI by performing observations, helping to address any trends within the department, performing/helping with self-assessments, NOS audits, and OPEX review when required. Assists with the closure of action items within the passport system. Including attended Cause Analysis training.

Evaluate radiological conditions in the nuclear plant and the implementation of the necessary radiological safety measures as they apply to nuclear plant workers and members of the public. Perform dose rate, contamination, and airborne radioactivity surveys. Provide job coverage for workgroups to minimize personnel exposure. Control access to radioactive material through labeling and posting. Provide briefings and guidance to plant personnel to prohibit unplanned exposure to radioactive material. Responded to alarms from radiation monitoring equipment and developed solutions to restore safety and optimal function. Trained employees on exposure minimizing techniques to improve procedures and reduce the amount of radiation received by plant personnel.
