Jones Beach East
  • The rehabilitation of the Jones Beach East Bathhouse was designed to address climate change, particularly flooding and inundation. In addition, the facility will be switched from fossil fuels to all-electric, building systems controls, and on-site photovoltaics, reducing the facility's carbon footprint. Adewumi performed Soil Compaction, Bolting, Welding Masonry and Concrete Field Sampling & Testing.

The Bay Park Conveyance Project
  • This project involves the construction of the new pump station at the existing south shore water reclamation facility. There are 2 micro-tunneling segments - one extending two miles on the west side from the south shore water reclamation facility to Sunrise Highway and another extending 1.6 miles on the east side, from Sunrise Highway to the Cedar Creek WPCP. The project is also re-purposing an existing aqueduct beneath Sunrise Highway using a technique known as slip-lining. In addition, new pumps and a receiving connection will be built at the Cedar creek WPCP. Adewumi performs soil compaction testing of backfilled areas and bolting inspections.

  • The construction of the $9.5 billion New Terminal One is currently being built on the sites of the former Terminal 1, 2 and 3, aiming to transform the international travel experience to and from New York. Adewumi has been a key personnel on this project, conducting soil compaction, cold-formed steel, fire resistance rated construction inspections.
