• Drawing all ages - infants, toddlers, adults and seniors

• Draw blood - use venipuncture or heal sticks to collect blood samples from patients

• Prepare specimens- Process blood, urine, throat swabs, vaginal swabs and stools for laboratory testing

• Paternity testing - swabbing patients mouth, taking patients pictures, fingerprints and sending them out.

• Drug screen testing - drug screens for jobs and schools

• Verify information- check lab orders for accuracy, patient’s identification, insurance and current lab

• Register patients- enter billing information and collect payments when necessary

• Training new employees - teaching new employees how to use epic, touch and Accu draw, making sure they feel comfortable to contact me when help is needed

• Completed proper sanitation and cleaning of equipment and work areas between patients.
• Collected blood samples using vacutainer tubes, tourniquets, syringes, butterfly needles, and straight needles.
• Followed Physician's orders to correctly administer following test. (Covid, FLU, Strep, RSV, Mono, EKG's,UA,A1c,CBC, and CMP stats)
• Stocked phlebotomy cart or carrier with appropriate supplies.

• Traveling to patients homes and nursing homes

• Contacting patient- calling each patient a day before to confirm arrival time

• Greeting patients- Making patients feel comfortable with the procedure, verifying their identities and explaining the process

• safely drawing blood from patients and labeling the samples

•String and transporting- safely storing blood for transport and delivering the samples to the appropriate laboratory personnel

•Handling waste- Appropriately handling medical waste such as used needles
