  • My position at Omni Dermatology started as a Front office check in representative. My role was to successfully check in every patient for their appointment from start to finish. I had to verify and make sure their insurance was eligible and covered within our network. I also was responsible to collect all copays and deductibles per their insurances or balances.I was an opener so I had to get there early to open up and set up the clinic. I was later on trained to work on referrals and to answer incoming calls to schedule appointments for patients for our 5 offices while still checking in/ checking out patients. I always worked close to the management team that I was later on positioned as front office lead. My responsibilities were to make sure the office was running smoothly and if there were any issues I would try to resolve before reaching out to management. My roles at Omni helped me to grow and develop new skills for my career as I am looked to as a leader by both my peers and management staff.

  • Began employment with Mountain Park as a Customer Service Representative in the Pediatric clinic. I was fully trained to successfully check in patients and check out in the front desk receptionist. We have 15 providers just in the peds clinic, so we had patients coming in and out all day. I was responsible for collecting all copays and deductibles for their visit and making sure their insurance was active and in network with the clinic. In this role I was also responsible for opening every day. Part of my role I was also responsible for confirming all next day appointments for all providers scheduled to work the next day if a patient was unable to make it to their appointment, I was responsible for rescheduling them. Being part of the front office, I would also get incoming calls from patients calling to make appointments or to get medical information. I was responsible to answer all calls. I have been trusted and trained to do management duties when there is no manager available. I am looked to as a leader by both my peers and management staff.

  • I Began Employment with Aoc as an Appointment scheduler for 8 Ent Specialist providers for 3 different locations. We were centralizing for all 3 locations and took high volume incoming calls. I was also responsible for Chart prepping for 1 provider 3 times a week. In chart prepping I had to get patients' charts ready for their appointment. We worked with paper charts so when chart prepping, I had to hunt down all charts within the 3 locations, while still taking incoming calls for appointment scheduling. I was quickly identified by my supervisors for development into a role with greater responsibilities and that better fit my skill set. I was then trained to work on incoming referrals daily. I was responsible for verifying referrals and making sure the insurance was covered and eligible within our group. Once referrals were all verified, I would then call all patients and get them in appointment and into our schedule. I was responsible for keeping track of how many referrals I got daily and how many were scheduled and how many were not by keeping a log report that I had to turn in to my manager every Monday. I am looked to as a leader by both my peers and the management staff.
