• Providing housing case management to clients to enable them to become self-sufficient and provide housing resources,advocacy and goal setting to clients
• Participating in twice monthly By name meetings and managing our housing openings
• Maintaining up to date records for HUD programs and overseeing HUD housing budgets
• Assessing clients for housing using Desc Vat and scoring assessments
• Attending monthly meetings of the Continuum of Care (COC) and other meetings with JCHA and partner agencies as necessary
• Building and maintaining relationships with community partners, landlords and apartment managers.
• Build rapport and engagement with clients to help motivate and ensure success of the program.
• Supervise other housing staff

Helping clients of all ages, couples, and families to identify their problems/issues, define roles,and determine resources, understand their motivation, help them to connect and manage their feelings, set goals, identify their outcomes, and make positive and lasting changes in their lives.

• Providing case management to residents and outreach clients which includes goal setting, providing resources, support and advocacy to enable clients to become independent and continue on with their lives in a new and empowered way
• Maintain client records and all reports that are required
• Organizing events, seasonal parties and outings to enable clients to experience reprieve and entertainment, along with ensuring clients have access to resources and needs for holidays and other events such as backpacks for school and specialty items and uniforms for employment
• Providing emotional support to clients in crisis
• Participating in client review and being an effective and supportive team player.

• Answering crisis calls on hotline, resident intakes, providing comfort, support and advocacy to residents and their children, safety planning with callers and residents, monitoring security system.
