Seeking position which harnesses my experience and education for a new venture post Birmingham-Southern College closing.

Career Accomplishments

  • Thirty-plus years as an educator and academic advisor
  • Two years leadership as director of BSC’s experiential learning program, Rise3
  • Led strategic planning process as Board President of the Southeastern Theatre Conference (SETC), the largest organization of its kind in the nation. Defined board roles/expectations, engaged with stakeholders in examination of governance model, best practices and programs.
  • Engagement with stakeholders in hiring of staff in non-profit and higher education settings
  • Program Design for diversity and inclusion projects.
  • External Reviewer for college and university academic programs. Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges.
  • Program Director for BSC’s institution-wide Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) (administration, marketing and promotion, assessment, staff supervision), working closely with BSC’s President, General Charles Krulak.
  • Secured internal funding to develop new play in collaboration with students, professional playwright, and New York City based The Farm Project.
  • Secured funding for nationally recognized facilitators and implemented student/faculty/staff equity and inclusion training.
  • Managed successful program review for BSC Department of Theatre, development of vision program vision statement, research and presentation of data, facilitation of external review.
  • Secured funding for Associated Colleges of the South (ASC) Undergraduate and Engagement Grant to support a new play production with six BSC students at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Scotland.
  • Producer/Director for 45 plus theatre productions (teaching, marketing, administration, assessment, staff and budget supervision, financial management).
