I am a first year college student at Wartburg College studying Neuroscience. I chose Neuroscience because I want to pursue a career in neurology where I can use my profession to help prevent the harmful effects of conditions on patients. I grew up in a small town in Iowa called Lone Tree. I served in many activities such as FFA, Cross Country, and Track and Field. Through FFA, I was able to help contribute to the ongoing food poverty crisis by arranging an event called Hunger Service Day where 30,000-40,000 meals were packaged and shipped to places in need. Over my 4 years in high school, I was able to contribute to 120,000 meals packaged. I currently run track and cross country for Wartburg. I am the first in my family to attend college which is something I hope that motivates my younger siblings to follow in my footsteps and pursue their dreams. My biggest role model in my life is my mom because of her passion and dedication towards putting others needs before her own.
