I've come along way from home in California. Been away from home for nearly 5 years and during my time away I have learned many different fields of work to include: Restaurant server, vehicle mechanic, underground construction, sales representative, and now im currently working as on Optician. I wear glasses and contacts myself so I though it would fit me to work in the field of vision and I must say its something that I enjoy. I strive to learn more to be of excellent help in knowledge of my profession and the products that are involved. The enthusiasm I share with patients and fellow coworkers tends to bring a colorful work environment. I enjoy working with people, providing good services, and making friends in the process.

CIB Awardee
All infantry who serve in the military desire to see combat. We all want to serve our country on the front line but some of us don't get the opportunity. I've knows infantry men who serve 4 years and don't deploy overseas at all. Others who do deploy but not to a hostile environment. For them, they are disappointed and I would have been to but, that's not the case for me. I knew when I enlisted there was a chance I would see combat and I wanted it. What I had got was a little more than I expected. Where my unity deployed to Afghanistan was very active. My whole unit and not just my platoon saw combat. Some did not make it home alive. There were times that I wondered not if I was going to get hit but where I was going to get hit. Fortunately I was not injured. That being said, all infantry men who see combat get whats called the Combat Infantry Badge (CIB). This is earned, not given, and i am very proud of mine.
