Run shift operations to keep day running smoothly and prepare closing tasks for next shift. Assist with ordering and supply management. Direct partner placement throughout shifts to support workflow coverage. Maintain clean cafe, work area and back room for easy movement and organized storage. I try to run my shifts with positivity, encouragement, support and coaching when needed.

In my role as Overnight assistant Manager, I would be the manager on duty for the whole store. My main focus being the grocery department. I handled overseeing the grocery staff, unloading trucks, handling the delivery’s which included grocery loads, dairy, frozen, produce and general merchandise loads. I would look over the grocery orders daily to confirm the right product is being received and checking out of stock products with the warehouse. I would also set up end caps appropriate for the seasons and holidays passing by to make sure we had easy access to the high demand things customers would need at that time.

Other tasks included:

• Handling security alarms
• Managing any refrigeration alarms that would be triggered in our system and handle them in a timely manner to establish if the product was still in the temperature ranges it should be.
• Running registers
• Accepting calls for any call offs storewide and relay the message to the proper department head.
• Ordering product
• Making sure each morning the store was clean and ready for business.
• Handling customer orders and complaints.
• Scheduling
• Overseeing my grocery staff was able to get their jobs done in a timely and efficient manner.
• I made sure the store was all put together and properly condition ( front and faced) for the morning shoppers.
• Brought any pricing concerns to the designated pricing office.
• Let in and oversaw the maintenance work being done in the building and confirming they got the work done they were meant to complete properly.

At sheetz I would close out accounts and lottery each night. Enter all the needed paperwork into our systems and count all our deposits for the day. I would closely supervise my staff in the kitchen, register, or on the sales floor. I would make sure the store and the gas pumps were kept clean and tidy. I checked in the product that we received in the morning and supervised deliveries at night.

Some things I focused on were:

• Identified and corrected performance and personnel issues to reduce impact to business operations.
