2. Work closely with Talent Acquisition and Nurse Educator to schedule new hires and transfers to

establish start date, department welcome, and department orientation in Center Nursing.

3. Work with Talent Acquisition and Professional Development to ensure that all new hires, transfers,

and existing staff meet the training, licensure, and certification (i.e. BLS certification) requirements

for their position at all times.

4. Maintain schedule for Nursing Department. This includes assigning schedules upon hire as directed

by Nurse Educator.

a. Manage return to work requirements following leaves of absences

b. Determine location and schedules of new employees as directed by Nurse Educator

c. Maximize PRN staff and ensure they are meeting minimum requirements

f. Prior to the date of hire or transfer, ensure all new hire and transfer PRN nurses are aware

of and understand the requirement to work a minimum of 32 hours/month if asked.

g. Ensure all PRN nurses hired prior to June 9, 2022 have selected the requirement to work a 1)

a minimum of 32 hours/month, or 2) grandfather status of a minimum of four-shifts per

month (regardless of hours per shift). This distinction is needed for SIP eligibility after the

minimum requirement is reached.

A. Maintain open lines of communication with staff and management team to facilitate effective

staff scheduling.

B. Accept staff requests for shift trades and PTO. Obtain required approval for DON or designee.

C. Monitor staff clockings daily to review reported worked time, PTO, unpaid time, holiday time,

etc. and investigate and correct errors and omissions daily to ensure the worked time record is

accurate.

D. Track policy violations related to attendance, punctuality, late call-offs, early leaves, no call/no

show, unapproved leave of 3-day or more, and scheduling (i.e. PRN requirement), and provide

report to the DON

5. Post all approved Center Nursing vacancies and ensure all Center Nursing staff have access to view

postings.

6. Update the Center Nursing Position Control spreadsheet weekly to provide Talent Acquisition with a

current list for vacant Center Nursing positions, including job title, hours/week, shift, days of week,

and shift hours for external recruitment.

7. Assist DON by preparing Change of Status (COS) forms for approval as needed.

8. Routinely communicates with staff to maintain their current contact information (i.e. phone

number, text number and personal email).

9. Maintain inventory control of Center Nursing medical supplies.

A. Establish an inventory control consisting of a list of all Center nursing medical supplies by unit

and work closely with staff and DON to establish the minimum quantities of each item that must

be available in stock at the Center at all times.

B. Conducts weekly assessment of medical supply quantities and places order with the Manager,

Operations, for new stock as needed.

C. Responsible to receive medical supply orders, place in appropriate storage area, and update the

inventory control

D. Responsible to move old stock up for use, and place new stock behind old stock.

E. Responsible to maintain neat and organized stock room with clear labeling and access to items.

10. Fax, scan, and file nursing forms as directed by DON and Nurse Managers.

11. Maintain inventory of office, other non-medical supplies, and forms for nursing department. Utilize

Manager, Operations, for placing orders.

12. When provided incomplete MARs and annual IHPs from the DON and/or Nurse Managers, tracks

down responsible staff to obtain missing documentation and/or staff signatures as needed to

complete the forms.

13. Facilitate effective communication between Center Nursing and other departments as appropriate.
