
Graduate with a B.A. in Organismal Biology and hands-on experience in animal rescue and kennel operations. Experienced in animal handling, crop husbandry, medical assistance, sanitation protocol, and providing compassionate care for animals with diverse behavioral needs in a fast paced environment. Motivated to apply scientific knowledge and practical animal care experience towards a career in veterinary medicine or wildlife conservation.
Worked over three summers at The Lost Dog & Cat Rescue Foundation’s (LDCRF) 15,000 square foot Rescue Care Center, the hub of its mission to provide safe housing and daily care for homeless dogs and cats awaiting adoption. LDCRF is one of the largest private animal rescue organizations in Northern Virginia, having saved over 50,000 pets since 2001.
Volunteered for a 3-acre farm dedicated to cultivating resilient relationships with food and natural systems through land-based learning.
