  • Provide insight and vision towards the school and district goals that include attendance and behavior improvement through intervention meetings and plans, new student transition protocols, and school safety, facilitated through my membership with the SMUHSD School Attendance Review Board (SARB), AP Council, Instructional Leadership Team and PHS School Safety Committee.
  • Helped increase the graduation rate 14% from 59% to 73% during 2021, the year I had to lead as interim Principal from February 2021 through July 2021. This was during the return to in-person schooling from the Covid-19 pandemic.
  • Helped reduce the overall school suspension rate from 15.3% in 2022 to 11.5% 2023.
  • Ensured implementation and assisted in accomplishing site's WASC goals during PLC and group cohort meetings.
  • Developed and executed thoughtful and appropriate interventions and outcomes for students failing to meet and achieve the school expectations of a SMUHSD student. Led investigations for incidents requiring suspension, and participated in Incident Review Conferences, and site and district-level SARB meetings.
  • Investigated and implemented timely responses to student attendance issues with meetings, home visits, and securing appropriate family resources.
  • Coordinated, managed and helped lead school site assemblies, new student orientations, Back to School Night, Open House, CAASPP testing, graduation, summer school, SSTs and campus co-curricular assignments.
  • Update student and staff handbooks as well as school wide safety plans.
  • Participated in IEP's, ELAC and DELAC to help support, and connect families to learn about their student's education.
  • Manage student athletic eligibility requirements and all student campus clubs.
