I began working with animals in high school as a project through my FFA (Future Farmers of America) chapter. I volunteered at Petco for a cat shelter and developed a relationship with the stylists. I had a background in raising and grooming goats so when looking for work, I decided to try grooming dogs. I have built client relations both with the pets and parents and maintain a trusted relationship with my coworkers when assisting with their grooms and handling their clients.
I spent a minimum of $1,000 and worked a minimum of 300 hours on a Supervised Agricultural Experience project overseen by my chapter advisors. I attended State and National conferences and competed in at least 5 parliamentary procedure competitions. I was active within my chapter leadership committee and actively developed chapter activities. Finally, I completed 360 hours of in class agricultural education and maintained exceptional leadership qualities with them.
