Through work done when acquiring a bachelor's degree, an ability to evaluate and analyze sources in a historical context has been sharpened. Moreover, the writing that has come out of these evaluations has been graded/seen as excelling in both attention to detail and ability to assess the bigger picture in terms of historical context. This developed the skills of file sourcing and management as they were required to study history effectively and sort through an abundance of primary and secondary sources. Furthermore, the tools used to access those sources demonstrated a deftness in the navigation of online and physical archives. These skills led to an understanding of the importance of protecting and preserving the files; thus, a competency in software and file security grew.
