Responsibilities as Digital Registration Financial Specialist included :

  • Preregistered patients at urgent care sites and contacted patients, via phone or Zoom, to review information on file.
  • Collaborated with nurses at assigned urgent care centers to ensure every patient was seen in a timely matter. Seeming as the job was remote, and we worked out of office space located in Coral Gables, communication was key for efficiency. On average, I managed over 50 customer zooms/ calls per day.
  • Collected payments for insurance (copays, etc) and verified insurance benefits, as well as informed patients of their insurance benefits and answered any questions or concerns held by patients.
  • Obtained consent, whether verbally or through signatures depending on the urgent care site, from every patient and recorded the interaction from beginning to end in patients' notes.

  • Reported positive results from Covid tests to the respective airline (as the Covid testing center was based in an airport and primarily for passengers), as well as the CDC.

  • Managed over 70 patients in the span of a 10-hour shift.
