The Above Wing Coordination Center holds the responsibility of representing Dept. 125 interests in collaboration, tactical planning, and network strategy in LGA. We manage the reliability of the schedule and customer interest during both regular and irregular operations, with the goal of minimal impact on our customers.
We are the first point of contact for the Above Wing Team when a situation develops that has the potential to impact our customers and team members. We serve as Dept. 125 advocates, having the responsibility to discuss, develop, and deploy solutions with LGA ACC personnel to ensure that our department’s best interests are addressed.
The coordinator role consists of behind-the-scenes and on-the-floor assistance using many different technologies (including DLTerm, Citrix, Viper, Dashboard, and others) — coordinating the day-to-day AW operations while focusing on seamless travel experience and on-time turnaround performance.
The prime focus of AWCC is the customer, ensuring that all options are available to cope with whatever disruptions that may develop. Coordinators will be fully trained on all RTSM and Customer Experience processes.
