A college student is looking for clinical opportunities to get into medical school for psychiatry. Hardworking, organized, and ready to grow within the work environment to ensure proper care and satisfaction. Always looking for opportunities to further improve the skills and understanding of people entering the profession of an adequate caretaker in the world. Looking to make a difference in people's lives to ensure peace and happiness.
As a barista, I assisted customers with special requests, prepared and served coffee, as well as a variety of other drinks and foods, and sometimes waited on tables. On top of maintaining a clean work environment, I also restocked inventory, collaborated with coworkers, handled cash register transactions, and followed appropriate safety procedures. I have dealt with rushes of customers, carried trays full of dishes, and efficiently kept the café in an organized manner throughout the day.
As a pizza maker at Domino's, I had to ensure the good quality of pizzas and their ingredients. I prepared dough, restocked toppings, prepared pizza sauce, cut, and packaged pizzas, as well as other items on the menu. Having various coworkers, we maintained a friendly and professional environment, which kept us efficient during dinner rushes. I have operated the pizza oven, making sure no orders had flaws, as well as ensuring appropriate packaging of orders. Having worked at the job for over a year, I have trained new team members on excellent customer service, the maintenance of a clean and safe work environment, as well as the proper crafting of pizzas and other menu items.
As a car wash employee, I operated the car wash tunnel, got vehicles safely into the tunnel, and made sure that the cars came out clean. I have assisted customers with service options, payment methods, and provided adequate detail on any malfunctions and errors that could have occurred during the wash. Collaborating with coworkers during busy hours and after hours, we ensured safety, the proper order of cars in the wash, and the cleanliness of the tunnel pit itself. At Sweetwater Car Wash, I was the first ever female to become a tunnel operator which meant that I was the one in charge of guiding the cars into the tunnel and tending to any malfunctions the tunnel, or the cars in it, may have had.
When I was in high school, I took on several sports, activities, classes, and jobs. Up until my senior year of high school, I have always maintained a job on top of at least 3-6 AP classes and 2-3 sports. I was highly active in the JROTC program which lead me to being the commander of it, leaving me in charge of at least 100 cadets and developments for the program. I have played flag football, cross country, track and field, weight lifting, and sports within JROTC in high school. I have completed the biomedical PLTW program in my high school which entailed me having to do labs, learn bio chemistry, the human anatomy, as well as other medical related activities.
I graduated in the top 10% of my class, receiving the capstone diploma, AP scholar designation, and a scholar designation. I was the commander of my JROTC program which left me in charge of 100 cadets. I had to pass duties on to my staff, make sure every cadet had opportunities in the program, sign up for volunteer opportunities in the Windermere/ Winter Garden communities, and school wide events. I have several awards from JROTC, AP, and the biomedical science program. Sports wise, I have varsity designation for weightlifting and track, as well as several ribons for placing at track and field.
I live in a single parent house hold which includes me taking care of animals, household duties, and I watch my little brother from time to time. I have been hard working and kept a well managed schedule. I am not a stranger to having to care for people and tend to multiple things at once. Being interested in the psychiatric field, I have the skills and understanding to handle different kinds of people of any age. I am always ready to learn new skills, and build on top of the skills that I already have.
