Postpartum

• Coordination of care plans for up to 4 mother and baby couplets every shift.
• Provide compassionate and effective care to diverse patient populations, including high-risk pregnancy patients.
• Educate parents on how to properly care for infants by instructing parents on bottle feeding, bathing, circumcision care and breastfeeding.
• Preceptor for new graduate nurses and travelers on our unit.

Labor and Delivery

• Facilitate the transition from birth to the postpartum period through frequent assessments.
• Monitor, evaluate, and prevent the risk for early postpartum hemorrhage.

NICU Level II

• Provide care for up to 3 infants per shift.
• Safely provide oral and nasogastric feedings every 3 hours and administration of medications
• Provide emotional support to parents/caregivers and prepare parents for infant’s discharge home.
