  • In the Fall of 2023, I identified a drug, Metformin 24 Hour ER 500 mg, appearing in the replenishment queue at a higher frequency than other drug. After bringing this situation to the Lead’s attention, a solution was offered that entailed reallocating the drug from 4-liter replenishment canisters to 8-liter replenishment canisters.
  • I am called upon to help train and develop the skills of colleagues. I use policy and procedure training points. I have trained up to 4 colleagues to date.
  • Working knowledge of how to maintain and correct the replenishment canister cells on the automatic dispensing Pods for jams and other error messages.
  • Capable of retrieving empty canisters and installing full canisters onto the automatic dispensing Pods.

  • Knows the process to remove damaged drug/product out of inventory to be sent back to the supplier for a credit with that supplier.
  • Knows how to monitor the production queue for the day for the whole building, the number of completed orders, number of packed orders, how many orders are being verified, canceled, and pending by using the tracking feature on the NEXiA system.
  • Production statistics showing the number of replenishment canisters filled per hour are posted weekly by management. The statistics show my production quantities consistently rank me # 1 or #2 out of ten certified pharmacy technicians.
  • I have been trained in the standard operating policies and procedures of the facility and the individual departments that I work.
  • My foundation to work independently as a pharmacy technician has several building blocks.
  • If I have issues with medication NDC’s; or need pharmaceutical stock, I can communicate to the Area technicians for help with the resolution.
  • I know the procurement procedure to remove a drug/product from inventory if it is deemed damaged or unusable.
