The Boston Leadership Institute is an award-winning summer STEM program for teens. As of 2024, BLI welcomes about 2000 students each summer. Programs focus on medicine, engineering, business, and science. Popular programs include Biological Research: Synthetic Biology, Chemistry Research, Intro to Biotech, Intro to Surgery, Neuroscience, Design & Engineering, Astrophysics, Marketing 101, Finance, and many more

• Promoted to Executive Director following five years of achievement. This included working alongside the President while BLI's seasonal revenue increased by 40% in three years (1200 students per summer to 2000 students per summer, the introduction and development of remote programming, and the introduction and development of Pre-High School programming).
• This position directly supports the President in company decision-making, mission setting, and plan implementation. Examples include curriculum development, company-wide budgeting, staff management and professional development, and contract negotiations.
• The Executive Director recruits and hires all summer staff. This includes teachers, teaching assistants, and lab staff for 90 separate programs. 2024 teaching staff included graduates of Harvard, Yale, MIT, Columbia, Wharton School of Business, Amherst College, and NYU, as well as current instructors from Harvard, Yale, MIT, Cornell, Boston College, Tufts, and more.
• Additional tasks include customer engagement and management, employee training, website design and development, and marketing content design.

• The Site Director manages the team of teachers, summer staff, and counselors at their site. These positions all directly report to the Site Director.
• This position coordinates details with the host school, including aligning safety protocol, meeting payment deadlines, and negotiating contracts
• Critically, the Site Director provides a safe environment for day and residential students. This requires being on-call 24 hours a day and training all staff on safety protocol.

• Promoted to Marketing and Management Associate to begin working alongside the President as part of the Management team. This promotion was awarded following the 2020 season, during which BLI successfully transitioned all programming to remote.
• Maintained all marketing responsibilities while gaining management tasks. These included hiring teachers, summer staff, and teaching assistants.
• The President included this position in all full-time staff hiring decisions and assigned direct management to half of the full-time staff.
• Secured new in-person locations for summer programming following COVID-19 location closures.
• Implemented COVID-19 safety policies and avoided all COVID-19 transmission during the 2021 summer season as one of the only summer programs to offer in-person programming.

• Hired as first full-time Marketing Assistant reporting directly to Dr. Jane Bybee, company President.
• Composed newsletters, website content, and advertising copy with the goal of increasing reach and revenue.
• Spoke with families to determine appropriate program fit for their students.
• Prepared pitches to emphasize pros of BLI over similar and well-known programs.

• Marketed programming, contacted leads, managed conversions, and arranged educational travel for high school teachers and families.
