Assessed children of all ages with genetic, chromosomal, and various disabilities/disorders. Observed nurses performing tasks including tracheostomy care, a range of therapies and rehabilitation services (e.g., physical, occupational, and speech therapy), and assisted with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).

Labor and Delivery Floor: Assisted nurses in interpreting fetal heart rhythms, assessing cervical dilation, and determining fetal presentation. Observed the preparation for and assistance with delivery.

Maternity Floor: Monitored for labor complications and provided support to postpartum mothers. Conducted head-to-toe assessments on neonates and observed discharge preparations.

NICU: Observed care provided to critically ill and premature infants. Assessed vital signs and gained exposure to a variety of medical conditions affecting neonates.

Observed nurses on the acute care, adolescent, general adult, geriatric, and drug and alcohol rehabilitation units. Conducted therapeutic interviews and participated in group activities with clients. Analyzed medical records to develop individualized care plans based on each client’s condition.

Assessed and provided care for adult and geriatric patients. Assisted nurse with wound care and comfortable in preforming task individually. Recognized and aided in the treatment of various diseases. Interpreted ECGs and test results from medical records, and developed care plans aligned with each patient’s medical history.

Completed clinical experience on a Med-Surg/Telemetry unit. Administered and documented medication administration, monitored vital signs, and performed comprehensive head-to-toe assessments. Managed IV infusions and monitored for IV related complications. Observed nurses in roles related to dialysis, postmortem care, and discharge education.

Gained clinical experience in the Cardiac Step-Down Unit by assisting nurses in delivering patient care. Provided comfort care including bathing, toileting, and feeding. Administered subcutaneous injections and preformed intermittent catheterization. Given the opportunity observed nurse's role and documentation in the cardiac catheterization lab before, during, and after procedures.
