  • Developed and deployed Active Directory Group Policy to replace Login Scripts to map users network drives to local site Network Shared resources. Developed over 18 sites
  • Developed and deployed Active Directory Group Policy to attach users to Network Shared Printer based upon physical Site location, Group Membership or IP Subnet. The GPO will remove printers not associated with a site and connect to the site’s printers. The GPO does not affect printer connections not defined within the GPO.
  • Engineered and deployed WSUS on a global scale. The design uses GPO to assign computers to WSUS Computer Groups, configures which WSUS downstream server the computers connect to and when they are scheduled to download and apply patches. Task Scheduler with PowerShell is used to Approve for installation patches to the WSUS computer groups by scheduling PowerShell scripts to approve for installation patches to specific WSUS computer groups. Patches are also limited to Critical and Security patches only. Finally, Microsoft Excel 2013 with the PowerQuery add in is used to dynamically update a query on Computers in AD and computers that are members of the WSUS groups. The query will also import data from the schedule WSUS patching report generate daily.
  • Worked with the Desktop Engineering group on the creation of two Server Build Gold Images for server OS’s 2008 R2 and 2012 R2. Provided guidance on presenting additional applications and settings options to be performed post build. The Gold Images and build process was done using the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, MDT. These images were used to deploy Virtual Machines in the VMWare Infrastructure.
  • Managed two Microsoft Exchange 2010 DAGs, supporting over 5000 user and shared mailboxes.
