Provided ECMO support across lifespan: neonatal, pediatric, peripartum, and adult patients in cardiac medicine and surgical ICUs.

Managed all ECMO-related emergencies, addressing air entrainment, decannulation, cannula dislodgment, and equipment failures.

Coordinated inter-facility transports and fixed-wing ECMO transfers between hospitals in multiple states.

• Set up and monitor medical equipment and devices such as cardiac monitors, mechanical ventilators and alarms, oxygen delivery devices, transducers, and pressure lines.
• Assist physicians with procedures such as bronchoscopy, endoscopy, endotracheal intubation, and elective cardioversion.
• Cared for critically ill patients requiring VA and VV ECMO Support.
• Monitor patients for changes in status and indications of conditions such as sepsis or shock and institute appropriate interventions.
• Provide assistance to Cath Lab staff throughout emergent procedures, such as STEMIS, IABP/Impella insertion, temporary pacemakers, etc.

• Assisted with various line insertions, such as arterial lines, SGC catheters, central lines, and temporary transvenous pacemakers at bedside.
• Collaborated with fellow nurses, interns, residents, fellows, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, and more to provide the best care possible for my patients and their families.
• Preceptor to nursing students and new unit orientees.
• Assisted in the initiation of the new Induced Hypothermia (now known as Targeted Temperature Control) protocol.
