  • Ensure great service by keeping customers informed about wait times, substitutions, and any issues.
  • Adhering to safety laws while driving, such as speed limits, signals, and being aware of my surroundings.
  • Optimizing and calculating best routes when picking up and delivering orders in a more time efficient manner.
  • Multitasking aspects of delivery operations.
  • Paying close attention to details while handling multiple orders made by different customers from more than one establishment at a time.
  • Reducing wait times by checking order status at restaurants periodically.

Production Worker

Thrive Life
01.2023 - 06.2023
  • Production of freeze dried pet food, production of various foods and sauces to be incorporated into freeze dried meals for human consumption. I was cross trained in and performed all of these aspects.
  • Pet food production duties: shoveled frozen product into hopper, pushed metal trays on roller conveyor under hopper to fill trays with product. Placed full trays on trolleys. Moved trolleys to deep freezer until ready for freeze dry.
  • Freeze drying of meats and desserts were also part of production in the factory, although it was scheduled infrequently. For meat and dessert production, process was identical to pet food production. Various agent from the USDA was present to monitor production from beginning to end for these items.
  • Sauce production duties: reviewed paperwork of assigned product during shift, reviewed pick list sheet, verified all item numbers on ingredients match paperwork, checked expiration dates of ingredients, collaborated with warehouse employees to obtain necessary products, used pallet jack to move products to kitchen production room, organized products to provide safe and efficient access to various ingredients during the adding process. Weighed, added, mixed and cooked ingredients until specific temperature was reached. Pumped finished sauce onto metal trays, placed trays on racks, wrapped racks with plastic, labeled racks with details of which sauce it contained, pushed racks to deep freezer.
  • Documented details of production process on given paperwork. Temperature checks and times taken, I completed this periodically throughout cook time. Documented time of ingredients added, verified weight of product, time heating was turned on and turned off.
  • Packaging freeze dried products: Take trays of finished product off trolleys, dumped product into hopper which had scale and bag for product connected underneath hopper. When specific weight of product was reached for each bag, product was dumped into plastic lined boxes. Boxes were taped, labeled and sent to final packaging facility. Process was similar for packaging sauces and human food, although weighs varied and products were kept in bags used for weighing. Oxygen absorbing packs added to bags then heat sealed, labeled, stacked in boxes, boxes were labeled, sent to another facility for final packaging.
  • Dishwashing: Sent trays through conveyor dishwasher for cleaning and sanitizing, stacked on plastic lined pallet upon exiting washer. Trays were tested for contaminants with ATF device, results were logged in record book. Clean trays were taken by pallet jack to warehouse area for storage.
  • GMP and PPE Practices: Cleaning all production areas from waste, rinsing floors while using squeegee to push water and waste into drains, periodically cleaning drains by hand with proper PPE, foaming and rinsing production rooms. Foaming and sanitizing all production components were completed periodically and as needed. I followed all GMP and PPE guidelines while using safe practices.
  • I was given the opportunity to be "back up Lead" in case standing lead was unable to complete shift or was absent. This was due to my knowledge of process and paperwork.

Event Specialist

Advantage Solutions
03.2013 - 04.2016
  • Event specialist, brand ambassador, for food and product companies.
  • Worked in sales environment, offered customers samples of products.
  • Before selling product, I researched or tried product, giving me as much information as possible for my customers. Could explain taste, if it was spicy, if it had common allergens, price per serving, different cooking options.
  • Explained benefits of each product whether it was ease of cooking and/or preparing item, or how it could help in their every day life.
  • Gave multiple options of items that could be paired with my product, easy tips to make product in various ways. For example: selling bags of frozen berries, I would offer ideas of thawing berries, putting them on pound cake with whipped cream for dessert or adding berries to vanilla protein shakes in blender for more nutritious smoothie.
  • I was known for my out-of-the-box thinking, which led to customers to ask for advice on how to incorporate items they bought into something bigger. Customers would ask for simple tips on how to season or cook something, they knew I always had adequate answers. Sales went up for that store since my recommendations of items to make another product better were sold only at that specific store. I was able to gain their trust, customers were more likely to buy what I was selling, making them repeat customers.
  • Gained many cooking skills, sales pitches, found ways to connect with customers in ways that made them feel like they were more than just someone pushing a shopping cart with a list in their hand.
  • I was promoted to Lead position halfway through employment with Advantage Solutions and completed my ServSafe certification, which unfortunately has since expired.
  • Briefly left company, moved to Idaho to be with family between March 2015 and June 2015, was rehired to company when returned to Utah.
  • Company name used to be Advantage Sales and Marketing before their merger.
