- I was hired at the District Alternative Education Program (DAEP) to start up the Physical Education Program, where I taught All-levels. I introduced our at-risks students to our league basketball team where we played against other AEP teams valley wide. I developed the curriculum for that specific program. I then transferred to Donna High School where I was asked to teach College Success and later taught PE and Health. I applied for two-grants that helped DHS get Physical Education Equipment in the amount of 2,000. In the process, I was receiving my M.S. in Sports Management from Texas A&M University. This opportunity allowed me to intern for the DHS Athletic Department. I was stadium supervisor and ran the operations for home football games, ensuring staff was in place to operate the stadium. I was also assigned to work on coaching stipends and submit information to Human Resources. I was also assigned to work home games as an administrator in charge. I worked on schedules for multiple sports assigning duties to coaches and administrators. I was also in charge of getting bids and working on state-playoff paperwork ensuring our teams were with contracts between schools on mutual agreements. I worked on budgets with team sports equipment; making sure each sport was within budget.
