Handle all procurement related oversight of Boeing suppliers, interfacing with all areas of Component Repair and throughout Boeing to ensure regulatory compliance (FAA), Boeing procedural compliance, to ensure top tier quality and safety are maintained as well as ensuring the work scope and schedule meets or exceeds Boeing’s contractual agreements and performance standards.
Review all component quotes for approval based on current contract agreements, and price discounts with suppliers on component orders on case-by-case basis.
Clear understanding of all FAA, EASA, and CAAC approved procedures; including PC700, ASA100, and Part Marking Authority
Develop and maintain a technical relationship with key Repair personnel and liaison with the repair station functions during the development of new repairs. Provide ongoing support to resolve procurement related problems and non-conformance to product repairs specifications.
Focus on and work concerns of repair projects such as cost, completion date, and resource allocation. Conduct project reviews as needed to ensure acceptability and repair capability of component repair requests.
Research and respond to customer service team requests for component repairs in a timely manner and work in close collaboration with MROs to ensure sales commitments can be met.
Provide core dispositions and clear feedback on extended repairs/additional billing or scrap parts/core charges to 787 Entry into service in a timely manner.
Research and understand impact of component modifications and part interchangeability on inventory levels.
Coordinate with the logistics team to drive efficiencies and cost reductions in time and receiving and other expenses associated with repairs.
