Working as a pre/intra/post procedural nurse in interventional radiology. Provides procedural sedation and monitors vitals for patients undergoing emergent and planned procedures, including biopsies, line placements, and embolizations. Serving unit as a LVAD superuser and Pain Resource Nurse

Providing direct patient care to cardiothoracic patients at Spectrum Health's Meijer Heart Center in downtown Grand Rapids. Recovering high-acuity cardiac surgery patients, including those needing devices such as Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps, Impella, Centrimag, ECMO, LVADs, and CRRT as well as patients requiring heart or lung transplants. Currently serving the unit as Skin Champion and preceptor.

Provided direct patient care to pre/post-surgical ICU patients at Cleveland Clinic's downtown main campus. Managed a wide variety of high-acuity patients from all surgical teams except cardio/cardiothoracic, including General Surgery, Transplant, Orthopedics, Gynecology, Plastics, Vascular, and others. Gained interpersonal skills working with families from all corners of the world. Served on the unit as Vascular Access nurse, was trained to place Ultrasound-Guided Peripheral IVs, and managed CRRT.

Managed pre, intra, and post-operative Orthopedic and General Surgery patients. Job responsibilities included filling prescriptions, assisting the veterinarian when handling animals, setting up and managing appointments, monitoring patients pre and post anesthesia, and patient/owner education. In my last 5 years as an assistant I worked primarily in the Orthopedic OR acting as circulator/scrub tech.
