• Quickly responds to situations impacting safety and security to unit, actualizing crisis prevention interventions to control and de-escalate situations
• Performed ongoing assessments to evaluate mental health needs, working with multidisciplinary team to develop, initiate, manage and modify individualized plans of care

• Provided direct quality care to patients by monitoring, recording and evaluating psychiatric conditions.

• Responsible for managing two short-term apartment vacation rentals for Jordan Rentals. Conducted all screening and correspondence of renters and scheduling of reservations. Scheduled and booked all cleaning and Maintenance. Effective liaison between renters and building owners, promptly responding to and resolving inquires, requests and issues in a timely and positive manner.

• Carried out individualized therapies with patients such as: music and art therapy, problem solving activities, and memory recall exercises, while focusing on orienting patients to setting, time and self. Committed to bettering patient experience by recognizing and reporting advancements, concerns and overall needs to nursing staff. Promoted a kind, compassionate environment, utilizing active listening and effective communication skills with the patients and their families
• Trained several new volunteers, took part in upgrading training manual, and served as active participant in several rounds

• Established, organized and participated in several community outreach projects including; Foot Clinics at Oxford Street Shelter- fundraising / donating socks and winter gear at every clinic event held, Craft Social events at The Cedar's Nursing Home for residents, and raising donations of items for household baskets that are distributed by Catholic Charities to families in need in the Greater Portland Area
• Organized and participated in several fundraising projects to benefit the Student Nurse Organization
• Attended the National Student Nurses' Association 66th annual convention in Nashville with two fellow student members by successfully fundraising organizing and planning for this trip. In doing so, worked closely and efficiently with USM's BSO.
